The students of the year 2024 batch of IIT ISM Dhanbad are proud. Google has given PPO (Pre Placement Offer) to 13 students. These include nine students of Computer Science Engineering, Mining, EE, Math and Computing branches. Before this, Google has also offered off-campus jobs to many students. It is discussed that these students have received a pay package of more than Rs 50 lakh, although the pay package has not been disclosed at any level yet.
Since last few years, CTC/package of students is not declared as per the instructions of All IIT Placement Committee (AIPC). Orica has also announced to give PPO to a Mining Engineering student. Whereas Tata Steel (Management Trainee Technical) gave PPO to two mining students. The number of students with PPO has increased to more than a hundred.
The students of the year 2023 batch got the highest pay package of Rs 56 lakh. The formal campus selection of students of the year 2024 batch will start from December 1. The Career Development Center of the institute has started preparations for this.
