JSSC: Jharkhand: People from reserved category will also be able to apply for 26000 teacher recruitment.

While hearing the petition filed against not giving five percent relaxation in educational qualification (marks) to reserved category candidates in the appointment of Assistant Professor in Jharkhand, the High Court has directed JSSC to give relaxation in application to such candidates. The court of Chief Justice Sanjay Kumar Mishra and Justice Anand Sen also directed JSSC to file its reply in this matter within six weeks. The court said that the final order of the case will affect the appointment of the candidates.

Kanchan Dey and others have filed a petition in this regard. During the hearing, the court was told on behalf of the applicants that the government has made new rules for the appointment of teachers in 2022. In this, SC-ST and OBC have not been given five percent relaxation in educational qualification. It has been said in the petition that as per NCTE rules, five percent relaxation in educational qualification is necessary for reserved category candidates.

This provision was in the previous rules. But it has been removed in the new one. Due to this, a large number of candidates are not able to apply. Therefore they should be allowed to apply.
