ICAI May Reschedule CA May-June Exams: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has informed that CA Foundation, Final and Intermediate examinations for the May session may have to be postponed. The examination will be postponed only when the dates of the examination overlap with the dates of General Elections of 2024. Let us tell you, the dates of this year's general elections for the 18th Lok Sabha can be announced soon. The application process for CA May test without late fees has ended on February 23, 2024. Apart from this, candidates who want change in exam city or language can make correction from March 3 to March 9, 2024.
ICAI has said in the official announcement that “If the dates of General Elections coincide with the current examination schedule, the examination committee may reschedule the CA examination to May 2024.”
There is still a chance to apply for the exam
The registration window for ICAI CA Foundation, Intermediate and Final Exam 2024 was opened from February 2. The last date to apply for the exam was February 23, 2024. There is still a chance for those candidates who have not been able to apply for this examination. He can still apply with late fee of Rs 600. Whereas from March 3 to March 9, all registered candidates will be allowed to edit their submitted forms.

According to the official notice released by ICAI, the CA Foundation course exam will be conducted in June on 20th June, 22nd June, 24th June and 26th June 2024. Examination will be conducted for Foundation Paper 1 and 2. The examination of Foundation Paper 1 and 2 will be of 3 hours, from 2 pm to 5 pm, while the examination of Paper 3 and 4 will be conducted of 2 hours, from 2 pm to 4 pm.
Whereas for CA Intermediate course, Group 1 exams are to be held on May 3, May 5 and May 7, 2024 and Group 2 exams are to be held on May 9, May 11 and May 13, 2024. The timing of all intermediate papers will be from 2 pm to 5 pm.
CA Final Course examinations for Group 1 will be held on 2 May, 4 May and 6 May 2024 and Group 2 examinations will be held on 8 May, 10 May and 12 May 2024. Papers 1 to 5 of the final course will be conducted from 2 pm to 5 pm, while Paper 6 will be of 4 hours duration, starting at 2 pm and ending at 6 pm.
With this, let us tell you that no extra time will be given to study in Papers 3 and 4 of the Foundation Examination and all the papers of the Post Qualification Course Examination. However, in all other papers, candidates will be given 15 minutes earlier reading time from 1.45 pm to 2 pm.
For the International Taxation Assessment Test, the institute has scheduled the exam on May 10 and May 12, 2024. INTT-AT exam paper will be conducted between 2 pm to 6 pm. The time of this examination will be of 4 hours.
