UPSC success story: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts one of the toughest examinations, Civil Services Examination (CSE). After passing the exam, selected candidates are given top posts including IAS, IPS, IFS, IRS etc. according to their rank.

Every year lakhs of candidates try their luck for this examination, out of which only a few get success. Among those successful people, the name of Swati Nokhwal is also included, who has secured the post of Indian Revenue Service (IRS) after passing the UPSC examination. In the year 2016, he had secured 766 rank in this examination. Let’s take a look at his journey.

Swati Nokhwal is a resident of Srigangaghar, Rajasthan. She comes from a middle class family. His father works as Traveling Ticket Examiner (TTE) in Indian Railways. His mother is a teacher in a government school. Education is given great importance in his house right from the beginning. In such a situation, Swati was also very good in studies.

Swati completed her schooling from a private school in Srigananagar. He had secured 90% marks in class 12th. After completing his schooling, he started his graduation studies from Daulatram College, Delhi University and completed his degree in the year 2015.

During her graduation itself, she had decided that she would prepare for UPSC. After which he started preparing for Civil Prelims examination. Let us tell you, in the year 2016, he appeared for this UPSC exam first. Cleared it in just one attempt.

Swati used to study every day for 6-7 years for Prelims exam. After clearing Prelims, he increased the time to study for Mains to 8-10 hours. According to reports, it is also believed that she was one of the youngest candidates to clear the UPSC exam in 2016. He is currently working as Deputy Commissioner CGST in Hisar, Haryana.
