Flashback 2023: These companies have created new records due to the startup boom in India. Not only these companies but their founders are also earning crores. Now the last month of 2023 is going on. During this period, various companies have released their financial reports one after the other. This has shown how strong is the financial position of these famous startups. Besides, the salaries of their founders have also been revealed. Let's take a look at the highest earning founders this year. From Kamat Brothers to Falguni Nair have made it to this list. 

Startup founder taking huge salary 

These reports have revealed that the founders of many startups are taking home huge salaries. Zerodha founders Nitin Kamat and Nikhil Kamat have taken home Rs 200 crore this year. Out of this, Rs 72-72 crore is the salary of both the brothers. Apart from this, Seema Patil, wife of the company's CEO Nitin Kamat and director of the firm, has also taken an annual salary of Rs 36 crore. 

Falguni Nair among the richest women of India

Oyo founder Ritesh Aggarwal remained at second position in this list. His salary was Rs 12 crore annually. Nykaa's founder Falguni Nair took a salary of only Rs 2 crore this year. She is among the richest women of India.

  • Nikhil and Nitin Kamat – Rs 72 crore 
  • Riteish Aggarwal – Rs 12 crore 
  • Deepak Singh Ahlawat (Gamescraft) – Rs 10.1 crore 
  • Manish Taneja and Rahul Dash (Purple) – Rs 6.75 crore 
  • Vijay Shankar Sharma (Paytm) – Rs 4 crore 
  • Sahil Barua and Kapil Bharti (Rategain) – Rs 3.1 crore  
  • Gaurav Singh Kushwaha (Blue Stone) – Rs 3 crore  
  • Mithun Sacheti (Caratlane) – Rs 2.62 crore  
  • Aman Gupta and Sameer Mehta (Boat) – Rs 2.5 crore  

Despite tremendous funding, 29 thousand people were fired 

Apart from this, the founders and CEOs of HealthifyMe, Lenskart, Noise and Mamaearth have also received good salaries this year. According to the report of Inc42, this year the founders of 42 startups received approximately Rs 228 crore as salary. Besides, they also got tremendous funding. But still they fired about 29 thousand employees.
