Stock Market Closing: Today's closing of the Indian stock market has been at a low level. Tuesday did not prove to be auspicious for the stock market and Sensex-Nifty closed below important levels.

BSE Sensex closed at 72,012.05, down 736.37 points or 1.01 per cent, and NSE Nifty closed at 21,817.45, down 238.25 points or 1.08 per cent.
What is the condition of Sensex shares
Out of 30 Sensex stocks, only 7 are showing rise and 23 stocks are trading in the declining range. Among the biggest rising stocks, Bajaj Finance closed up by 1.38 percent and Kotak Mahindra Bank closed up by 0.57 percent. ICICI Bank managed to close with a rise of 0.26 percent and Bharti Airtel with a rise of 0.23 percent. All the sectoral indices of Nifty closed on the decline in the business. The IT sector has fallen the most by 2.90 percent and the media sector has seen a decline of 2.45 percent. Business in the FMCG sector also closed with a sharp decline of 2.16 percent.

Today the market cap of BSE has fallen to Rs 373.96 lakh crore, whereas on Monday this market capitalization was at Rs 378.79 lakh crore.
