Job Firing on Google Meet: In the last few months, many companies have laid off employees on a large scale. Many such cases have come to light when employees have been fired by the company just through a mail. The way of firing the employees of online rental platform Frontdesk is currently in the news. The company has shown the way out to all its more than 200 employees on just a two-minute Google Meet call.

The blame fell on these employees

According to the report of TechCrunch, the CEO of FrontDesk announced to fire 200 employees of the company during Google Meet. The employees who were retrenched include full-time, part-time and contract workers. The special thing is that FrontDesk has been going through difficult times for a long time and it is on the verge of closure.

The CEO of the company said this

Announcing the layoff of hundreds of employees, the company's Chief Executive Officer Jesse DePinto said that the company will declare itself bankrupt and apply for receivership  financial aid provided by the state. At present, the company has not given any response to TechCrunch's report.

The company raised this much funding

Frontdesk startup company was started in the year 2017. It is a rental based company that has managed more than 1000 flats in America. The company has received funding of more than $26 million from different companies, but still it has failed to complete its operations successfully. The company has been trying to get more funding for a long time, but has been unsuccessful even after offering several jobs including Chief of Staff on LinkedIn.
