The budget of the Modi government was the last one, i.e. the budget presented in 2023. Talking about it, its size was Rs 45,03,097 crore. That means the last full budget of the second term of the Modi government was a little more than Rs 45 lakh crore. This was 7.5 percent larger than the revised estimate for the financial year 2022-23. In the last budget, the revenue expenditure in the total expenditure was a little more than Rs 35 lakh crore.

Expectation of size up to Rs 50 lakh crore

Bank of Baroda estimates that this time's budget could be Rs 49 to 50 lakh crore. This is 10 to 11 percent more than last year.
