What is the new price of petrol and diesel

After the reduction in prices in the capital Delhi, petrol will be available at Rs 94.72 per liter, in Mumbai at Rs 104.21, in Kolkata at Rs 103.94 and in Chennai at Rs 100.75 per liter. Whereas if we look at the new prices of diesel, one liter diesel will be available for Rs 87.62 in Delhi, Rs 92.15 in Mumbai, Rs 90.76 in Kolkata and Rs 92.34 per liter in Chennai. 

Petroleum Ministry gave information about reduction in prices 

Earlier, while giving information about the decision to reduce the prices of petrol and diesel, the Petroleum Ministry said that the government oil companies have informed that they have decided to reduce the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs 2 per liter in the entire country. The new rates will be applicable from 6 am on March 15, 2024. The Petroleum Ministry said that the reduction in the prices of petrol and diesel will give a boost to the expenditure by the consumers and the operating cost for 58 lakh heavy goods vehicles which run on diesel, 6 crore cars and 27 crore two-wheelers. Will help in reducing.

Petroleum Ministry said that the reduction in the prices of petrol and diesel will provide many benefits to the citizens. 

• Disposable income of citizens will increase.
• Tourism and travel industries will get a boost.
• Inflation can be controlled.
• Consumer Confidence will increase and they will be able to spend more.
• Expenses of people dependent on transportation will decrease.
• Profits of logistics, manufacturing and retail sectors will increase.
• Farmers. There will be reduction in the cost of operating tractors and pump sets.
