Air India Airbus A350: Tata Group's airline Air India received its first Airbus A350 aircraft on Saturday. The plane came to Delhi from the Airbus center in Toulouse, France. On reaching India, this plane was given a grand welcome. Senior pilot Monica Batra Vaidya was on board the plane. The services of this giant aircraft will start from January 2024. First, it will be operated on domestic routes for training of pilots and cabin crew. After this it will be used in international services. 

Air India became the first Indian airline 

At present Air India has 116 planes. Of these, 49 are ‘wide body’ There are planes. Air India has become the first Indian airline to operate such an aircraft. Earlier in 2012, Air India was also the first Indian airline to include Boeing 787 Dreamliner in its fleet.

316 seats and three category luxurious cabin

Air India will soon share detailed information about the A350 flight. The company's CEO and MD Campbell Wilson has described it as a memorable day for the airline employees. The Airbus A350-900 features 316 seats and a three-class cabin designed by Collins Aerospace.

264 economy class seats in the plane

Airbus A350 has 28 seats in business class, 24 seats in premium economy and 264 seats in economy class. The company said that all seats have in-flight entertainment system and HD screens. Air India had ordered 20 such aircraft. 5 more aircraft will be delivered by March 2024. 

Manish Malhotra designed a new dress 

Wilson said that new dress for the airline's ground staff and Air India Express employees will also be made available soon. This new dress has been designed by Manish Malhotra. This new outfit was introduced by Air India on 12 December. The aviation company has implemented this dress for its pilot crew.

Air India had changed the order 

Air India had changed the order of 250 aircraft given to Airbus. Under this, the number of A321 Neo aircraft will now increase. The airline was to acquire 210 narrow body A320 aircraft. This included 140 A320 Neo and 70 A321 Neo. The remaining 40 were large-sized A350 aircraft. This included six A350-900 and 34 A350-1000.

New brand people also created 

Air India had earlier started using its new brand logo on social media platforms and website. The company took over the ‘Old Air India’ From ‘New Air India’ Its change has been announced. Air India is now seen in a new look on social media platforms X and Instagram. Passengers also noticed this change at Air India counters at airports across the country. 

Loan taken from SMBC for Airbus aircraft

Recently, Japan's SMBC had reported that Air India has taken a loan of 120 million dollars from it to buy large-sized aircraft. With this money the company will purchase A350-900 aircraft from Airbus.
