Japanese giant Suzuki has unveiled the 9th generation model of Suzuki Alto in its home market i.e. Japan. This car is available in the market for a long time and generates good sales figure for the company. This car will be launched in the market with 660cc, mild hybrid petrol engine. Apart from this, Active Drivers Assist has also been given in the car.
Japan’s Alto is different from India’s Alto
Let us tell you that the Suzuki Alto Kei introduced in Japan is different from the Maruti Suzuki Alto available in India. There is no similarity between the two cars except the name, so don’t get confused by the name. In Japan, the company has introduced the new generation model of this car after 7 years. The 8th generation model of the car was introduced in the year 2014.
India awaits new Alto
Alto is quite popular in India as a budget car and people have been waiting for the next gen model of this car for a long time. The new Alto will come in the market with many changes. Some media reports suggest that the new model will be based on the HEARTECT platform that is used in the Wagon R and S-Presso. The car will be given 660cc naturally aspirated petrol engine which generates 49bhp power.
Apart from Alto, customers were also waiting for the new Celerio, which the company recently launched. Talking about the design of this car, the new model of Celerio is bigger and better than the current model. The company has launched it as India’s highest mileage car.
