VI launches new plan to increase the falling userbase, this OTT app will be available for free

Telecom companies are launching new plans from time to time to attract customers. India's number one telecom company is currently Reliance Jio. The user base of the company is continuously increasing. Here, Vodafone Idea has been facing huge losses in terms of user base for the last several months. To increase the falling user base, the company has launched a new prepaid plan.

OTT support is being given with expensive plans to increase ARPU

Nowadays telecom companies have started supporting OTT apps with prepaid plans because everyone uses these apps nowadays. Be it Vi, Airtel or Reliance Jio, all are supporting some OTT app with their plans. Some time ago, Reliance Jio had launched an annual prepaid plan in which the company is offering premium subscription of Jio Cinema for free. Companies launch such plans to increase their ARPU. For those who do not know what ARPU is, actually it is the average revenue per user.

VI's new plan

Now Vodafone Idea has launched an annual plan of Rs 3,199. Under this plan, customers will get the benefit of Amazon Prime Video subscription for 365 days, unlimited voice calls, 100 SMS every day and 2GB daily data. Reliance Jio had launched a prepaid plan of Rs 1,499 last week in which the company offers 3GB data every day, unlimited calling and Netflix subscription with a validity of 84 days.
