Swiggy will deliver food in trains

Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation i.e. IRCTC and Swiggy have together aimed to deliver their favorite food to the passengers at their seats in the running train. At present, this facility has been started only at 4 stations, which include Bengaluru, Bhubaneswar, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam. However, in the coming days this facility can also be started at other stations in India.

However, let us tell you that this is not the first time that Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation has joined hands with a food delivery app to provide food to the passengers in the train. IRCTC had also partnered with Zomato in October last year, which provides food delivery service at many stations in India.

How to order?

Passengers booking tickets online through IRCTC can easily order food while traveling by train by entering their PNR number through the IRCTC e-categorizing portal. During this time, passengers can enter the name of the restaurant, food or even order food from any of their favorite restaurants in the same app. Passengers can also pay for food online or cash on delivery.
