OnePlus took a big decision, joined hands with App Defense Alliance for device security

OnePlus: OnePlus has officially announced a new partnership with the App Defense Alliance (ADA) to improve the security of its smartphones. ADA is a cyber security organization founded by Google that keeps a close eye on the Internet for viruses, malware and other online threats. OnePlus claims that it is the first smartphone manufacturer to join ADA.

ADA will work together with these companies

In this App Defense Alliance, help of Google, ESET, McAfee, Trend Micro and other companies has also been taken for malware mitigation. This helps ADA scan malware on the web even before it hits the Google Play Store. It establishes two-way communication between Google Play Protect and other ADA partners to identify all types of potentially harmful applications (PHAs).

According to OnePlus, the partnership with ADA will significantly improve application security in OnePlus smartphones, in addition to Oxygen OS security features.  The latest version of Oxygen OS 14 comes with Device Security Engine 3.0, chip-level encryption, Auto Pixelate 2.0, photo management settings and many other features that protect the privacy and security of personal data of OnePlus device owners.< /p>

When will the new security features arrive?

OnePlus has not yet revealed the exact plans of its ADA partnership on a per-smartphone basis. It is not yet known whether ADA's partnership with Google Play Protect will appear as a separate software feature in future updates to OnePlus devices and will improve the security of OnePlus devices. The company is expected to reveal more details in the next few weeks.
