Google New AI tool can write news Articles: If an incident has happened somewhere and the journalist is busy writing other news, now Google’s new AI tool will do the work of writing that incident. That is, if you want to write news, feature or any other article, then Google’s AI tool Genesis will do this work. The company is testing this tool, which is specially being made to help news companies and journalists. The tool is currently being rolled out to other news organizations, including News Corp, owner of The New York Times, The Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal, reports the NYT. That is, the company will first provide this tool to these organizations.

Jarvis, director of the Craig Newmark Graduate School of Journalism, said that if this tool can reliably provide factual information, then journalists should use it to save their time. On the other hand, if news organizations use this tool on topics that require nuance and cultural understanding, it could damage the credibility of the news organizations.
Discussion in companies on whether to start writing news with AI
Actually, ever since AI tools have become popular, they are being used everywhere. News companies are also discussing about its use. Several companies, including the Times, NPR and Insider, have informed employees that they can use AI to write news stories to find out how it is performing and whether there are any loopholes.
