According to the data released by TRAI for October 2023, the number of subscribers of Bharatiya Airtel has increased by 3.52 lakh in October. With this, the total number of customers of Sunil Mittal-led Airtel has increased to 37.81 crore. According to the report, India's largest telecom operator, Reliance Jio, added 31.59 lakh mobile users in October 2023, after which the total number of customers of the company has increased to 45.23 crore. Before this i.e. in the month of September, Jio had 44.92 crore customers.

The company lost 20.44 lakh wireless customers in October. Now the number of customers of the company has reduced to 22.54 crores. Vodafone Idea has been continuously suffering losses in terms of userbase for the last several years. A major reason for this is that 5G has not been rolled out yet.
