Now even after 7 days on WhatsApp, you will be able to delete the message for everyone!

WhatsApp is reportedly working on extending the deadline to delete messages for everyone. When you delete the message sent by you, then the option for Delete for everyone comes in it. At present, WhatsApp allows you to delete for everyone within 1 hour, 8 minutes, 16 seconds. After this set period you will not be able to delete the message for everyone. Now WhatsApp is working to extend this time limit. However, this update is currently in the works and it is not yet available for beta testers. WhatsApp was earlier working on removing any limit on deleting messages, but now the plan seems to have changed.

of WABetaInfo Report It is reported that a new update of the feature to delete messages has been seen on WhatsApp Desktop beta 2.2147.4. The latest beta update reveals that WhatsApp is now planning to change the message deletion time limit from 1 hour, 8 minutes, 16 seconds to 7 days and 8 minutes. WABetaInfo also shared a screenshot to show that the option to delete messages is visible for messages that are at least one day old.

As mentioned, WhatsApp had reportedly planned to remove any time limit for deleting the message. For now it is planning to set a time limit of 7 days and 8 minutes. The tracker says that this feature is still in the development stage. There is a possibility that WhatsApp may change the plan again before the official release or release information about it from the social account.

As it is still in development, this feature will not be available to users even on the latest WhatsApp Desktop Beta 2.2147.4. WhatsApp is also reportedly working on introducing another feature that will speed up the playback of audio messages. This will work in the same way that voice notes can be played up to 1.5x or 2x when they are played again. An audio message is essentially a forwarded voice note or any other audio that is not recorded when sent by the sender. Although this feature was seen during testing on iOS devices, but it is believed that Android devices can get this feature soon.
