Actually, Twitter gives users the option of DM in the profile page so that they can send direct messages to other accounts. But now it has disappeared in the new update. According to a report by 9-to-5 Google, an Android user reported the DM feature missing in the phone but when he opened his account on iOS, he was seeing the DM button here. That is, it is possible that this problem is coming due to a bug, which the company should fix soon.
At present, if you want to send a message to a person on Twitter, then you have to go to the message option and here you can search and text the person to whom you want to send the message. You will find the option of message box in the bottom notification bar of the profile page in Android.
