iPhone’s safety at risk! User’s 8 lakhs were stolen, are you making this mistake?

New Delhi. The iPhone is generally considered a safe and secure device. Even compared to Android phones, the iPhone is considered a secure device. However, with the help of a trick, thieves can gain access to your phone and your digital life. According to a report, the passcode present in the iPhone is now giving thieves easy access to the phone. The passcode of your data helps users to unlock Apple devices.

According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, the 31-year-old senior economist who worked at an intelligence startup lost all his photos, contacts, notes from his iPhone 13 Pro Max. His phone was stolen in Manhattan. Within 24 hours of the theft, $10,000 had gone out of his bank account. According to the report, with the help of the Apple ID of the iPhone owner, it can be accessed by changing the passcode in a few seconds. Not only this, the victim’s account can also be blocked upon getting access, including all the details saved in iCloud. Thieves can also gain access to financial apps on the phone.

Passcode in phone keeps your personal information safe. On getting access to it, the thief gets access to financial apps and other information present in the phone. When the phone’s passcode is changed, the software gives an option to sign out of the Apple account from all other Apple devices as well, such as Mac and iPad. This leaves the victim with no option and loses access to all devices.

It has been said in the report that the Apple software never asks the user to ask for his old password, unless a new device is being set up. With the new password, thieves not only disable access to the phone, but are also able to resell the iPhone.

According to an Apple spokesperson, the iPhone is the most secure device for consumers, and the company works every day to protect user data. The company says that they have full sympathy with the victim and will take this attack seriously, no matter how rare it is. They say that they will continue to work on it to keep the user’s account and device safe.

Let me tell you, all those victims whose iPhones were stolen had either gone out for a night out or were in a public place or bar. In all these cases, the iPhone owner lost access to his account. He later learned that several thousand dollars had been withdrawn from his account. This includes Apple Pay, bank accounts, and other phone apps from which money is withdrawn. A similar flaw was also found in Google’s Android mobile operating system, but the iPhone is becoming a common target due to its high resale value. The company has recently introduced Hardware Security Key and USB dongle that can protect Apple ID.
