Addressing the party’s plenary session, Rao said, “TRS has emerged strong financially as well. We have donations of Rs 425 crore in the form of fixed deposits. We have received this donation as per legal means, like all political parties across the country get donations. We are getting an income of two crore rupees per month on this as interest. We conduct our activities with that.
Referring to the development works done during the tenure of the TRS government, the Chief Minister said that the state is far ahead of other states in the country in various fields including agriculture, welfare, power, drinking water, IT and industries.
Rao, popularly known as KCR, was re-elected as the TRS president for a new term in the party’s plenary session. He formed TRS in 2001.
