UPSC IAS: These candidates who missed the selection may get job offer, the list is full of MBBS and BTech people.

UPSC Civil Services Exam: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the marks of those candidates of Civil Services Examination 2022 who had given interview and unfortunately their final selection could not be done. UPSC has released the names, marks, roll numbers, date of birth, home address, educational qualification and email IDs of these candidates on its official website upsc.gov.in. This list of UPSC contains the details of only those candidates who reached the interview round and had chosen the option of making their details public in the application form. UPSC has released the marks (total marks out of 2025) of 1260 such candidates.

Let us tell you that the final result of Civil Services Examination 2022 was released on May 23, according to which a total of 933 candidates were recommended for appointment to 1022 vacancies. The reserve list for the remaining posts was released on 1 November 2023 in which 89 more candidates were recommended. The final cutoff in UPSC Civil Services Examination 2022 was 960 for General Category, 923 for OBC, 893 for SC, 900 for ST and 926 for EWS. That means, the candidates who had secured so many marks in their respective categories were selected.

Following the orders of the Department of Personnel and Training, Government of India, the marks and other details of the candidates who appeared for these interviews have been made public by the Commission. This will help many other companies and employers to create a database of eligible candidates. Under this disclosure scheme, other companies will be able to find eligible candidates with the help of this database. Employers will check the marks and details of the candidates from this database and offer them jobs. In such a situation, the candidates participating in the interview may get a private job offer at any time.

Abundance of B.Tech, MBBS degree holders

The list of candidates who missed selection in the UPSC exam 2022 is full of engineers and MBBS doctors holding B.Tech and BE degrees. In the list of 1260 candidates, there are about 600 B.Tech, about 200 BE and 50 MBBS degree holders. Some candidates have done engineering from IIT.

Through UPSC civil services, selection is made for Indian Administrative Services (IAS), Indian Police Services (IPS) and Indian Foreign Services (IFS), Railway Group A (Indian Railway Accounts Service) and other services. UPSC Civil Services Examination is conducted every year in three stages — preliminary, main examination and interview. Final merit list is released on the basis of performance in main examination and interview.
