There is recruitment for about 62000 posts in constable, SI, computer operator, radio cadre in UP Police. After the agency’s tender was floated in October, it was expected that the application process for UP Police constable recruitment would start in November. But the application process could not start even in November. First the recruitment notification will be issued and then after a few days the application process will start but till now the details of the notification are not known.
According to the news published in a local newspaper, no agency has been confirmed yet to conduct the UP Police recruitment examinations. Recruitment and examination agencies are not taking interest in conducting the recruitment process due to the network of cheating mafias. TCS had shown interest in conducting the recruitment process but no other agency came forward. It is being told that talks are going on between Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board and recruitment agencies. Constable recruitment notification may be released by the last week of December.
There is recruitment for 52699 posts of constable and 2469 posts of sub inspector in UP Police. Restoration is also to be done on 2833 posts of jail warders. Around 25 lakh applications are expected for constable recruitment. At the same time, UP Police Recruitment Board has expressed hope that 12 to 15 lakh candidates will appear in the SI recruitment examination.

OTR will be applicable
OTR system will be implemented in the recruitment for various posts including constable, SI, jail warder in UP Police. Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board will now implement OTR i.e. One Time Registration System in UP Police Recruitment also like Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) and Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC). After getting this facility in police recruitment, candidates will not have to apply again and again for different posts. The board has now decided to start the facility of one time registration, so that the candidates will not have to give their details again and again. You will have to upload your photo and signature only once. Any candidate who wants to apply for various upcoming recruitments including UP Police Constable, Sub Inspector or Jail Warder must fill the OTR first. Tenders were invited for this also.
