UP Police Recruitment: After age relaxation, Yogi government gave another big good news

After giving three years relaxation in the maximum age limit of UP Police Constable Recruitment, there is another good news for the candidates. According to the spokesperson of UP government, every year about 10 thousand constable posts are expected to be recruited in the state police. That means, if the candidates who are not selected in this 60 thousand recruitment, they will have a chance to fulfill their dream in the coming few years. An action plan is being made to fill these vacancies soon. UP Police Recruitment and Promotion Board DG Renuka Mishra is also handling the responsibility of the post of DG Training, so that along with the recruitment of constables, their training program can also be made and implemented. Due to delay in recruitment, the age limit of many youth exceeds. There is controversy regarding this in every recruitment.

On the demand of the youth, the Yogi government has provided three years relaxation in the age limit for the recruitment of 60 thousand constables in the state. The maximum age for recruitment to the post of constable was fixed at 22 years. Now it has been increased to 25 years. Women of general category whose age is less than 28 years will be able to apply. Men below 30 years of age and women below 33 years of age from reserved category will be able to apply. Age will be calculated from 1st July 2023.

Applications for recruitment are starting today from 27th December. More than 25 lakh youth of the state have been applying for constable recruitment. Among the vacant posts, 24102 posts are unreserved. There are 6024 posts reserved for EWS, 16264 posts for OBC, 12650 posts for SC, and 1204 posts for ST. The application fee has been fixed at Rs 400. Selection will be through written examination, document verification and physical test (race). The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained in the written examination. There will be no interview in this recruitment. No waiting list will be prepared.

Principal Secretary Home Sanjay Prasad said that the youth of the state were demanding that they should be given relaxation in the age limit. Taking a decision on this, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has given instructions to increase the age limit for recruitment by three years. While giving information in this regard on social media X, the Chief Minister wrote – 'Your government is fully committed to the interests of the youth and their bright future. In the ongoing process for recruitment to the post of Reserve Civil Police in UP Police, it has been decided to give relaxation of three years in the upper age limit for all categories of candidates. Special DG Law and Order Prashant Kumar said that since lakhs of youth had made preparations during the Corona period. At that time the recruitment process was closed, hence this decision has been taken to give opportunity to such youth.
