Recruitment has started for 1455 vacant posts in Government Medical Colleges and State Cancer Institute of Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand Medical Selection Board has issued a release in this regard on Wednesday. Selection Board Secretary Garima Ronkali said that the process of online application for these posts will start from December 12, while applications can be made till January 1, 2024. He told that this recruitment will be done on the basis of year wise seniority and only the nursing pass out youth registered in Uttarakhand Nursing Council will be able to be selected in it. He told that both male and female nursing officers who have done diploma and degree in the field of nursing can apply for these posts. On Wednesday, a release regarding recruitment has been issued by the Uttarakhand Medical Selection Board.

Among the vacant posts, there are 797 posts for women diploma holders and 366 posts for women degree holders. There are 200 posts for male diploma holders and 17 posts for degree holders. Of the total posts, 753 posts are unreserved. 288 are reserved for SC, 211 OBC and 59 for ST, 211 for EWS.
Ability
– The candidate should have B.Sc. (Hons.) in Nursing from a university or institute recognized by the Indian Nursing Council, or B.Sc. Nursing regular course from a university or institute recognized by the Indian Nursing Council, or post graduate degree from a university or institute recognized by the Indian Nursing Council. Basic B.Sc Nursing or Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery/Psychiatry from a university recognized by the Indian Nursing Council.
(b) Must have a certificate of registration from Uttarakhand/Indian Nursing and Midwifery Council as B.Sc (Hons) or B.Sc Nursing or Post Basic B.Sc Nursing or General Nursing and Midwifery/Psychiatry.
Age :- Age calculation will be from 01 July 2023. The age of the candidate should be minimum 21 years and maximum age should not be more than 42 years as on July 01, 2023. According to the rules of Uttarakhand government, reserved categories will get age relaxation.
Selection – Selection will be done on the basis of year wise merit order as revealed by the marks obtained by the candidate in degree/diploma, giving the benefit of reservation. The selection list will be prepared on the basis of percentage of total marks obtained by the candidate in Diploma/Degree. Candidates approximately one and a half times the number of vacancies were invited for record verification in year wise seniority order.

385 posts approved for police stations and outposts
385 new posts have been approved in the police structure for newly opened police stations and posts. The recruitment process for these posts is going to start soon. Last year, after the Ankita murder case in a resort near Rishikesh, the state government had created six new police stations and 20 police posts in the revenue area. The said police station and post have now been established, at present the staff has been given here from the existing strength of the district. Now the Home Department has also approved the posts of constable and inspector for these newly approved police station posts. Additional Secretary Home Nivedita Kukreti said that the Finance Department has also given consent to the new posts. Here, the Home Department is going to determine the number of police afresh as per the population standards for the existing police station posts.
