Rajasthan Finance Minister Diya Kumari presented the Vote on Account or interim budget in the Assembly on Thursday in which she proposed recruitment on 70,000 posts, providing interest-free short-term loans up to Rs 1 lakh under the Gopal Credit Card Scheme, developing 'Hi-Tech City' near Jaipur. Many announcements were made, including giving a savings bond of Rs 1 lakh on the birth of girls from poor families under 'Lado Protsahan Yojana'. The Finance Minister said that along with the annual financial statements and other budget papers for the year 2024-25, some notifications are being issued and demands for grants are also being presented. He said, 'Since due to the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, it is not possible to discuss the budget proposals in the Assembly and get the annual budget passed before March 31, 2024. Therefore, I am presenting a proposal for Vote on Account for the expenditure for the first four months of the financial year 2024-25, i.e. till July 31, 2024. That is, the full budget for the financial year 2024-25 will be presented in July. Later, the House passed the Rajasthan Appropriation (No. 1) Bill, 2024 and the Rajasthan Appropriation (Vote on Account) (No. 2) Bill, 2024 by voice vote.
