According to the official statement of the placement office of IIT Bombay Phase-I Placement December 20, 2023, the number of students who have received job offers of more than Rs 1 crore is 85, which is incorrect, the correct number of students who have received job offers of more than Rs 1 crore is 22. Is. All other data reported is correct. The placement office of IIT Bombay has also written that it is deeply regretting its mistake.

Let us tell you that out of the 22 offers given to students who got packages worth more than one crore, three were within the country, while 19 were international offers. In comparison, in Phase-1 of the placement season 2022-23, 16 received more than one crore job offers, of which two were within the country and 14 were international offers.

This year, more than 2,000 students had registered for placements, of which 60% have received job offers in the first phase. The second phase is scheduled for the end of this month.
