Agniveervayu Eligibility 2024: Indian Air Force (IAF) selects Agniveers through Agneepath Scheme. Under this scheme, youth get a chance to work full time in the armed services for a total of 4 years including the training period. Through this, recruitment is done not only in the Indian Army but also in the Air Force and Indian Navy. Today we are going to tell, how youth can join the Indian Air Force through Agneepath Scheme and what are the eligibility criteria for it.
First of all, let us tell you, Indian Air Force has invited applications for IAF Agniveervayu Recruitment 2024. The application process will begin on January 17 and end on February 6, 2024. Contenders can apply online through the official website of IAF Agniveervayu, agnipathvayu.cdac.in. A total of 3,500 vacancies will be filled through this recruitment.
age limit
To join the Indian Air Force through Agneepath Scheme, the minimum age of the candidates should be seventeen and a half years and maximum age should be 21 years. That means date of birth should be between 2 January 2004 to 2 July 2007.
Educational qualification
The educational qualification of Agniveervayu depends on the stream they are applying for. Check stream wise educational qualification here.
-Candidates must have passed class 12th with Mathematics, Physics and English with 50% marks. After this, three years diploma course in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Electronics/Automobile/Computer Science/Instrumentation Technology/Information Technology) with 50% marks.

This is how the selection will happen
After the completion of the application process for Agniveer exam, the process for the selection of the candidates will be started. The IAF Agniveer Vayu process involves three stages. which is like this.
Stage 1- Computer-Based Testing (CBT)
Step 2- Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
Step 3- Adaptability Test and Medical Test
Let us tell you, to join the Indian Air Force, candidates must be physically fit.
Height: Minimum height should be 152.5 cms.
Chest: The minimum extent of expansion should be 5 cm.
Weight: Should be in proportion to height and age.
Hearing: Candidates should be able to hear in each ear from a distance of 6 metres.
Teeth: Must have healthy gums, a good set of teeth and at least 14 dental points.
Physical Fitness Test (PFT)
– Have to run 1.6 kilometers in 06 minutes 30 seconds.
– 10 sit-ups will have to be done in one minute.
– 10 push-ups will have to be done in one minute.
– 20 squats will have to be done in one minute.
