New Delhi. As we all know that people are being cheated a lot in the name of banks and railways. People are committing fraud in their name and this news has also become common. Many cases have also been seen in which people do not even receive calls coming from unknown numbers. But most of the hackers who pick up the calls fall into the trap of hackers. In view of this problem, Indian Railways and Truecaller has joined hands. Under this, Truecaller will verify the call and will also identify them. At the same time, it will assure those people that the cases of fraud will come down. Along with this, information like your booking details and PNR status will also be given to the users about whether important messages or communications are being done by IRCTC itself.

The Integrated National Railway Helpline 139 is now verified by Truecaller Business Identity Solutions by millions of Indians almost every day. People will now see a green Verified Business Badge logo while calling the 139 helpline.

Apart from this, the verified SMS message header will also show that the booking and other travel details being sent to the customers from IRCTC are fully verified. Thus, the verified tick mark icon on Truecaller will appear near the Indian Railways brand name and profile photo. This will provide a secure user experience and reduce the chances of fraud.

Commenting on the partnership with Truecaller, IRCTC Chairman and Managing Director Rajni Hasija said, “We are extremely delighted to be working with Truecaller on this new initiative. Through this partnership, we have worked on technical collaboration with Truecaller and take IRCTC a step forward in making communication channels more robust, reliable and secure for the customers. This increases the trust of our customers in us.”

Among the wide range of products and services, IRCTC also manages the Integrated Railway Helpline 139 which is used by lakhs of people every day. It is used for train related inquiries. IRCTC started the project in the year 2007 with Bharat BPO Services Limited and 139 inquiry and helpline service as the technical partner.

Rishi Jhunjhunwala, Managing Director, Truecaller India said, “Truecaller for Business already has hundreds of enterprises that are using our solutions globally to drive true communication. How will you verify?

A subsidiary of Indian Railways, IRCTC is a platform that provides early booking and information for anyone planning to travel by train. According to IRCTC, when a passenger calls on Railway Helpline 139, he gets all the information related to the train. Every day more than two lakh calls are received here for information about train reservation, arrival and departure. However, through this also people get caught in fraud. In such a situation, a green color verified business badge will be given on this number. This will be visible only to those who call this number. Also, the same badge will appear in the header of the message that will come. This will reduce the chances of fraud.
