UPSC NDA, CDS Exam: Know how difficult the paper was, were questions asked beyond NCERT syllabus?

UPSC NDA and CDS Exams Analysis: NDA and CDS examination was conducted by Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on 21 April. 857 posts will be filled in the defense forces through this recruitment examination. In which there are 601 posts in the Army, 152 posts in the Air Force and 104 posts in the Navy. Let us tell you, this year the examination was conducted in two shifts. The first shift was conducted between 10.00 am to 12.30 pm and the second shift was conducted between 2.00 pm to 4.30 pm. Government schools of the city were made examination centers for this examination. Let us know how was the exam and which section was the most difficult.

Candidates who have appeared for the exam said that the paper was tough, the Maths section in NDA had many questions which were long and beyond the NCERT syllabus. Along with this, the format of questions was somewhat similar to that of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE).

Kunal Singh, who runs a coaching centre, said, “General Ability, English and Science sections were also tougher than previous years. The questions from Geography and History were of the level of graduate courses. He said, this is one of the toughest NDA exams ever conducted. He further said that even in the CDS exam, the Mathematics section was long, whereas in this paper it will be difficult to get more than 40% marks in English and General Studies.

Know the difference between NDA and CDS

-Candidates wishing to join the Indian Armed Forces appear for the NDA and CDS examinations.

– Those candidates who have passed class 12th can apply for the NDA exam, whereas those candidates who have completed their graduation degree or are in the final year can apply for the CDS exam.

– After completion of NDA training, candidates are given degrees like B.Sc/B.Sc (Computer)/BA/B.Tech for Army cadets, B.Tech for Navy cadets and B.Tech for Air Force cadets.

– Candidates who are successful in the CDS exam become Army Cadets at the Indian Military Academy (IMA) and receive PG Diploma in Military and Defense Management.
