UPSC 2024 Notification: Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will start the application process for Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2024 tomorrow (February 14). Once the registration starts, eligible and interested candidates will be able to fill the online form on the official website upsconline.nic.in. Last year, UPSC released the CSE notification for 1105 vacancies. The Civil Services preliminary exam was held on May 28 last year and the main exam was held from September 15. Let us tell you, UPSC had announced the exam dates before the release of the notification. As per the official calendar released, the preliminary exam is scheduled to be held on May 26 while the main exam will be held on October 19. Let us tell you, there are three stages in UPSC exam – preliminary, main and interview. After passing the preliminary examination, the shortlisted candidates will be eligible to appear for the main examination and then in this stage the shortlisted candidates are called for the Personality Test i.e. Interview.

Let us tell you, in 2014-15, applications were invited by UPSC for the maximum number of 1364 vacancies and in 2020-21, candidates were selected for the minimum number of 712 vacancies. Now it remains to be seen whether the number of vacancies increases or decreases this time.
UPSC has not yet announced the timing of releasing the CSE notification. The notification will be released on the official website upsc.gov.in and the link for application will be activated on upsconline.nic.in.
Candidates age should be minimum 21 years or maximum 32 years for UPSC CSE application. However, relaxation in upper age limit is given for some categories like SC, ST, OBC, Defense Services personnel and others. Candidates will be able to know more information related to age limit after the release of notification.
