UGC: All open distance and online courses are not valid, check recognition from this link

If you feel like taking admission in any university or institute without thinking in the name of Online and Distance Education (ODL) and Online Learning (OL), then think again. All the institutions claiming admission in various courses in the name of ODL and OL are not authorized for this. UGC has debarred three institutes for admission in ODL and OL courses. There are 18 courses in which taking admission in ODL, online mode will not be of any benefit in career. UGC has considered these 18 courses illegal in ODL-OL mode. According to UGC, students can pursue engineering, medical, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and other para medical courses, pharmacy, nursing, dental, law, architecture, agriculture, horticulture, hotel management, catering technology, culinary sciences, aircraft maintenance and visual arts and sports, aviation. Do not take admission in ODL-OL.

Before taking admission in any course in ODL or OL mode, students must check the validity by visiting the website deb.ugc.ac.in. Do not take admission in courses which are not included in the valid list of UGC or in a valid university.

Last date of application for UG course is 12th April

The last date for application for undergraduate course in Symbiosis International will be 12th April. Students can apply for Symbiosis Entrance Test, Symbiosis Law Admission Test and Symbiosis Institute of Technology Engineering Entrance Exam till the said date. The examination will be online on May 5 and 11 in 76 cities across the country. The exam will last for one hour. No negative marking will be applicable in the examination.
