We are talking about Vidushi Singh. Vidushi from Ayodhya, at the age of just 21, cracked the UPSC CSE 2022 exam in her first attempt without any coaching and secured 13th rank in it. Let us tell you, Vidushi's rank was so good that he could have easily got the post of IAS, but he has chosen Indian Foreign Service (IFS). She considers CB Muthamma as her idol. Muthamma was the first woman in India to join the civil services after passing the UPSC examination in 1949. He chose Indian Foreign Service (IFS) as his career field.

Vidushi told in an interview that she would not have been able to reach here without the support of her family. My family has done everything for me. I came home during the first Covid lockdown and started preparing for the exams. My family didn't bother me for anything. My job was only to study.

Know about his journey

Vidushi is a resident of Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. His father is an engineer in UPPCL while his mother is a school teacher. In such a situation, education was given a lot of importance in his house. Vidushi received his early education from Faizabad, now known as Ayodhya. He had completed his 12th from JB Academy with 98.2 percent marks. After this he obtained BA Honors (Economics) degree from Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), Delhi University.

Vidushi's grandparents always wanted to see her as a civil servant. Therefore, Vidushi wanted to fulfill her dream since childhood. In such a situation, she used to study about this examination from the beginning. Let us tell you, apart from grandparents, he also took inspiration from his college toppers.

This is how I started preparing for UPSC

Vidushi started studying for UPSC in her third year of college. He strengthened his foundation by reading NCERT and other basic books. After which he realized that he did not need coaching. Hence, he only enrolled for several test series and mocks and focused on self-study. He took help from a famous teacher for four months for the optional subject Economics.

She said, “In my third year of college, I realized that there was no need for coaching and I could prepare on my own as I had enough time. Then, I analyzed myself and knew where I was making mistakes and how to fix it. After college I focused on test series. I enrolled for various test series exams which helped me crack prelims.
