PM YASASVI 2023 Scheme: There is good news for high school and intermediate students waiting for scholarship. Under PM YASASVI scheme, about Rs 420 crore has been released to provide pre-matric and post-matric scholarship to lakhs of students. The government has released ₹32.44 crore to states and union territories for pre-matric scholarship and ₹387.27 crore for post-matric scholarship. This scholarship will help those students who want to continue further studies.
PM Yashasvi Scholarship Program was designed to help those students who come from OBC or EBC or Endangered Tribes. Under this scheme, pre-matric, class 9 and class 10 students and post-matric scholarship are given so that the students can easily take admission in higher education. As an exception, this scholarship is also given to top schools and colleges which perform very well in academics. Apart from this, hostel facilities are also provided to OBC students during further studies.
In short, under this program, pre-matric and post-matric scholarships are given to help OBC students. OBC, EBC and DNT students have the opportunity to apply through the National Scholarship Portal till 31 January 2024 to avail the benefit of this scholarship.
According to the information released by the government, apart from this, Rs 12.75 crore has been released separately for the construction of hostels for OBC students. So that economically and socially backward students, especially rural students, can be helped. Also, the future of Indian youth can be improved.
Students should keep in mind that the National Scholarship Portal will remain open till 31 January 2024. Students can take advantage of these schemes and opportunities.
