Opposition attacks on UP Govt on postponement of exam after UPTET paper leak

UPTET Paper Leak: Opposition parties have accused the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of corruption after the question paper of Uttar Pradesh TET (Teacher Eligibility Test) was leaked on Sunday and it was canceled by the state government. Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra and Samajwadi Party (SP) President Akhilesh Yadav have called it playing with the future of lakhs of youth. Congress general secretary and in-charge of Uttar Pradesh affairs Priyanka Gandhi Vadra tweeted on Sunday, “Corruption in recruitment, paper out has become the identity of the BJP government. Due to the paper out of UP TET today, the hard work of lakhs of youth got washed away.

Priyanka said in the same tweet, “Every time the paper is out, Yogi Adityanath ji’s government has saved the big fish involved in corruption, so corruption is at its peak.” SP chief and former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav said on Sunday. He tweeted, “Cancellation of UP TET 2021 exam paper due to leak is playing with the future of 20 lakh unemployed candidates. Paper leaks, cancellation of exams and results are common in the BJP government.

He alleged, “Uttar Pradesh is at the peak of educational corruption.” Yadav said, “There will be a revolution of the unemployed, there will be a change in 2022.” The examination was canceled due to the 2021 question paper leak and the police have arrested 26 members of the question paper leaking gang in this case from different districts of the state. This examination was to be held at 2,736 examination centers in all 75 districts of the state and 19 lakh 99 thousand 418 candidates were going to appear in it.
