Happy Teachers Day 2023: Know why celebrate Teachers’ Day, respect your teacher with these best messages

Happy Teachers Day 2023: The birth anniversary of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the second President of India, is celebrated as every Teacher’s Day. Dr. Radhakrishnan was also a teacher and a well-known philosopher. Teacher’s Day is organized to understand the importance of teachers and to increase their respect. Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was born on 5 September 1988. This is the reason why September 5 is celebrated as Teacher’s Day across the country.

Since when are you celebrating Teacher’s Day?
It is said that in 1962, when Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan was serving as the President, some of his former students advised him to celebrate his birthday. On this, Dr. Radhakrishnan suggested that instead of celebrating his birthday, Teachers’ Day should be celebrated by earmarking this day to honor teachers. And since then every year 5th September started being celebrated as Teacher’s Day.
