Board of Secondary Education will livestream Odisha board exams

To bring more transparency in Class 12 board exams, the Odisha School and Mass Education Department will livestream Class 12 board exams from this year. Ashwini Mishra, president of the Council of Higher Secondary Education, which conducts the examination, said that all college principals have been asked to submit the report by December 15 on the installation of CCTV cameras in their respective examination centres. Mishra said that this would be the first livestreaming of any examination in the state.

“The examination will be livestreamed in the same way as webcasting is done during Election Commission elections. Mishra said CHSE has not yet decided whether to telecast the exam live from all 1100 centers as the logistics part has to be considered. “However, we have asked principals to start installing CCTV in examination rooms, strong rooms and laboratories. If CCTV cameras are already installed, they must ensure that the cameras are in working order.

Principals have been requested to provide college name, college code, internet provider name with speed, DVR/NVR make, DVR/NVR serial number.
