Bihar teacher recruitment: STET results in some subjects, results in others, counseling stopped for doubtful certificates

In the second phase of teacher counseling going on in Muzaffarpur district of Bihar, counseling of many candidates has been stopped due to doubts over their certificates. DEO Ajay Kumar Singh said that till now more than 20 certificates have been put on hold. Told that the subject in which the candidates were selected was not their subject in the STET examination. For example, a Commerce candidate has been selected in Social Science, whereas the department had instructed that the candidates who pass STET will appear in the examination of that subject.

On the other hand, in the counseling for class 9th and 10th, the candidates were turned away for bringing photocopy instead of the original admit card. The DEO said that along with classes 6th to 8th, counseling for classes 9th and 10th has also started. In the counseling from 6th to 8th, CTET certificates of many candidates were found without watermark. CTET certificates of such candidates have been kept aside. The education department will check the CTET certificate using their roll number. Counseling of these candidates will be done only after investigation. Counseling of 725 candidates from classes 6th to 8th took place on Wednesday, while counseling of 774 is left. A total of 1499 candidates were to be counseled. Counseling of 348 candidates took place in class 9th and 10th.

Bihar Teacher Recruitment: 3115 candidates of SC-ST category passed in BPSC TRE.
