A+-Plus grade in NAAC, entry in QS ranking and SIMEGA India ranking of Chaudhary Charan Singh University, which is continuously contending in NIRF, has improved. The university, which was ranked 78th in 2022, has been ranked 66th in December 2023. That means CCSU's ranking has improved by 12 places in one year. CCSU is ahead among state universities across the country. CCSU ranks fourth in the country in obtaining patents. In 2023, the university obtained 15 patents. CCSU has 15 patents along with JNU, Hyderabad and Madras Universities. Last year the university has filed 74 patents. On Wednesday, Vice Chancellor Prof. Sangeeta Shukla, Director Research Prof. Veerpal and Director Academics Prof. Sanjeev Sharma shared the above achievements in a press conference. The Vice Chancellor said that the university will also achieve a good rank in NIRF in 2024. On the other hand, on the lines of major universities including AKTU, CCSU has also moved towards online assessment. According to the Vice Chancellor, evaluation of copies of Pharmacy and Engineering courses in the campus will be done online as a pilot project.
More fellowships for girl students, free cervical cancer vaccine. Vice Chancellor Prof. Sangeeta Shukla said that the university is committed to the advancement of girl students. In this sequence, the university will provide free cervical cancer vaccine to 36 girl students. Later its number will be increased further. The number of girl students in fellowship is being increased. Under the exchange programme, the university will give opportunity to girl students to go abroad. According to the Vice Chancellor, the university will provide equipment to girl students who have excelled in various sports including archery.
All the vacant posts will be filled soon. The Vice Chancellor said that all the vacant posts of teachers in the campus will soon be appointed. A proposal for creation of posts has also been sent to the government. The promotions of teachers whose promotions are pending will also be completed in the next few months. A six-storey building will be built for pharmacy in the campus.
In this, along with pharmacy, new courses will also be started. Selected students of the university will soon go to Russia for a few months under the exchange program. The university will start a center dedicated to Indian knowledge tradition in Russia. College students will also be able to use the Central Instrument Lab in the campus. The university is also hopeful of getting a grant of Rs 100 crore from PM Usha.
B.Ed, BA-B.Ed, B.Ed-M.Ed will start
Chaudhary Charan Singh University is going to restart B.Ed course in the campus. This course was running on the campus till two decades ago, but NCTE had withdrawn the recognition. The university will now start the process of restarting B.Ed in NCTE. According to Prof. Veerpal, integrated courses BA-B.Ed, B.Ed-M.Ed will also be started in the education department. Admission in these courses will be available after Intermediate.
Programmers will be appointed on campus
To provide relief to the students troubled by frequent change of companies, the university is going to start work on a data center in the campus. According to the Vice Chancellor, soon four programmers will be appointed in the campus. These programmers will prepare the admission process and results themselves. The university will store its data on cloud so that the companies do not suffer any loss. The university is going to further strengthen the student support centre.
CCSU is at 66th position in Simego India ranking, earlier it was at 78, fourth rank in the country in patents among state universities, the university has also improved in impact factor.
