On the request of the Home Ministry, the IT Ministry had issued the order

The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology issued orders on February 14 and 19 under Section 69A of the IT Act on the request of the Home Ministry. On the request of the Home Ministry, orders were issued to temporarily close 177 social media accounts and web links to maintain law and order. The order to block accounts and links of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and some other social media platforms was issued by the Central Government.

Orders to close accounts only until farmer protests end

Both the blocking orders issued on 14 and 19 February are with conditions and have been issued for the duration of the farmer protest. After this, social media companies can restore these accounts and channels. Therefore, it can be assumed that after the end of the farmers' movement, these accounts are expected to be restored.
