Vande Bharat: To connect North East Sikkim with other states of the country, the Central Government has decided to run Vande Bharat train at Rangpo in Sikkim till next year. The Central Government is giving a lot of emphasis on improving the railway infrastructure in the North Eastern region. In view of this, Union Railway Minister Vaishnav while addressing the program organized at Samman Bhawan on Monday said that Vande Bharat train will be started at Rangpo in Sikkim by December 2024.

10 thousand crore rupees were given in this budget for the development of railway services in the Northeast
Union Railway Minister Vaishnav said that the Modi government is committed to the development of the northeastern states. Till the year 2014, only 2000 crore rupees were allocated for the development of railway services in the Northeast, but the central government has increased the amount to 10 thousand crore rupees in this budget. Let us tell you that out of 8 states of North Eastern region, rail network connectivity is now available in 7 states.
