Fuel Prices in India: The central government has reduced the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs 2. Customers get the benefit of this from the VAT rates being charged in different states. Due to VAT, the price of petrol and diesel is different in every state. The most expensive petrol and diesel is sold in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Kerala. On the other hand, oil prices are cheaper in smaller states and union territories like Delhi, North East states and Andaman and Nicobar. VAT is the real game, due to which in some states the prices are more than Rs 100 per liter.

Petrol price is crossing Rs 100 in these states 

Last week, three public sector oil companies Indian Oil, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum Corp had reduced the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs 2 each. Even after this, the price of petrol in Jagan Mohan Reddy led Andhra Pradesh is Rs 109.87 per liter, in LDF led Kerala it is Rs 107.54 and in Congress ruled Telangana the price is Rs 107.39 per liter. BJP ruled states are also not behind in this. The price of petrol in Bhopal is Rs 106.45, in Patna Rs 105.16, in Jaipur Rs 104.86 and in Mumbai Rs 104.19. It is Rs 103.93 in Kolkata, Rs 101.04 in Bhubaneswar, Rs 100.73 in Chennai and Rs 100.37 in Raipur. 

Cheapest petrol and diesel are available in these states 

The cheapest petrol is in Andaman and Nicobar, where its price is only Rs 82 per liter. After this, the rate is Rs 92.38 in Silvassa and Rs 92.49 per liter in Daman. Its price in Delhi is Rs 94.76, in Panaji Rs 95.19, in Aizawl Rs 93.68 and in Guwahati Rs 96.12 per liter. The same equation applies to diesel prices also. Diesel is very expensive in Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Telangana and Chhattisgarh. Diesel rates are lowest in states like Andaman and Nicobar, Delhi and Goa.
