Holiday on 22nd January: Maharashtra Government has declared 22nd January as a complete holiday. Invoking Section 25 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881, the state government has said that no transactions will be done in government securities (primary and secondary), money markets and rupee interest rate derivatives on Monday. All transactions will be completed on January 23.
Reversal of VRR auction now on 23rd January
According to the press release of RBI, a 3-day Variable Rate Repo (VRR) auction was conducted on Friday. Its reversal was to happen on 22 January. Now this reversal will be done on January 23.
