Jio Financial Services: Jio Financial announces quarterly results for the first time after listing, profit of Rs 668 crore with a jump of 101%

Jio Financial Services Q2 Results Update: Jio Financial Services, the fintech company of the country’s richest industrialist Mukesh Ambani, listed on the stock exchange on August 21, 2023, has announced quarterly results for the first time after listing. . According to the results announced for July to September in the second quarter of the financial year 2023-24, the profit of Jio Financial Services has increased by 101 percent as compared to the previous quarter. The company has made a profit of Rs 668 crore in this quarter. 

The income from operations of Jio Financial Services has increased by 47 percent to Rs 608 crore. Whereas the company has earned a total income of Rs 186 crore from interest. The company had made a profit of Rs 202 crore from interest in the April to June quarter. The company has made a total net profit of Rs 668.18 crore in the September quarter, which was Rs 331.92 crore in the previous quarter. The company has earned a total income of Rs 217 crore from dividend whereas there was no income from dividend in the last quarter.  The total expenditure of the company during the July to September quarter was Rs 71.43 crore which was Rs 53.81 crore in the previous quarter. 

In a regulatory filing with the exchange, Jio Financial Services said that the company has appointed AR Ganesh as Group Chief Technology Officer with effect from October 16, 2023. Before this, AR Ganesh was the Chief Information Security Officer at ICICI Bank, who kept a close watch on cyber security.  

This year in July 2023, Reliance Industries had demerged Jio Financial Services from the company. After this demerger, every investor of Reliance Industries was allotted one Jio Financial Services stock in exchange for one Reliance share. At the end of today’s trade, Jio Financial shares closed at Rs 224.80 with a rise of 0.11 per cent.
