Indian Railway Freight Services in FY 2023-24: Indian Railways has created a new record in the freight loading in FY 2022-23. Railways carried a total of 1512 million tonnes of goods in the last financial year. At the same time, during the financial year 2021-22, the Railways transported 1418 million tonnes of goods. Giving an official statement on this matter, the Railways said that in terms of freight, the Railways has done the highest loading this year, breaking the record of previous years.

Railway’s earning increased tremendously

Indian Railways has earned tremendously through freight in the financial year 2022-23. This year, Railways has earned a total of Rs 2.44 lakh crore, which is 27.75 percent more than the previous year. At the same time, in the financial year 2021-22, the Railways had earned Rs 1.91 lakh crore through freight. Apart from freight, railways have also continuously worked on electrification, track laying and automatic signalling.

Railways set a new record in electrification

Indian Railways has told that it The year 2023 will complete the target of 100 percent electrification by December 2023. After this, Indian Railways will become the world’s largest green railway network. This work will be completed for all broad gauge networks. According to railway data, a total of 6,542 km of routes have been electrified in the financial year 2022-23, which is a huge figure as compared to previous years. And in the financial year 2021-22, a total of 6,366 km routes were electrified.
