Indian Defense Export: India’s defense export at a record high level, arms and ammunition worth Rs 16000 crore exported

Indian Defense Export News: India’s defense export has reached about Rs 16,000 crore, in which the private sector contributes the most. Compared to the last financial year, this time Rs 3 thousand crore more has been exported. India has exported military hardware i.e. ammunition and weapons worth Rs 15,920 crore for the financial year 2023-24. 

The export of defense sector has increased 10 times since the year 2016-17. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has attributed the increase in enthusiasm for Make in India and the change in development in the sector. The statement issued by the Ministry of Defense said that India is now exporting to more than 85 countries.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has termed the record defense export as a remarkable achievement of the country. Giving information in his tweet, the minister said that exports in the defense sector are increasing rapidly under the leadership of the Prime Minister. At present, India has Dornier-228, 155 mm Advanced Towed Artillery Guns, ATAG, BrahMos Missile, Akash Missile System, Radar, Simulator, Mine Protected Vehicle, Armored Vehicle, Pinaka Rocket and Launcher, Ammunition, Thermal Imagers, Body Armours, Besides systems, the line is also exporting replaceable units etc.

India has been one of the leading countries in terms of defense exports. Today, India is the 8th largest importing country. It supplies military products in more than 85 countries. India’s defense products have a special identity in the world.
