India Mango Exports: The world is liking the sweetness of India’s mangoes, 19 percent jump in mango exports this season.

India Mango Exports: The sweetness of Indian mango is increasing all over the world. There has been a 19 percent increase in mangoes exported from India to foreign countries during the months of April to August of the financial year 2023-24. During this period, India has exported a total of mango worth 47.98 million dollars. Whereas during the same period of 2022-23, India had exported a total of mango worth 40.33 million dollars. 

Commerce Ministry has released data regarding mango exports from India. The ministry said that APEDA (Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority) in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has exported a total of 27,330 metric tons of mangoes during April to August 2023. In these five months, maximum amount of mango has been exported to America. A total of 2043.60 mangoes have been exported to America. India has got great success in exporting mangoes to America. This year 19 percent more mangoes have been exported as compared to last year. While looking at the exports made by other countries, 111 tonnes of mangoes were exported to New Zealand, 58.42 tonnes to Australia, 43 tonnes to Japan and 4.44 tonnes to South Africa. Apart from this, it has been exported to Iran, Nigeria, Czech Republic, Mauritius.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare and APEDA jointly invited inspectors from South Korea for clearance of mangoes for export there. Due to this, India was allowed to export 18.43 metric tonnes of mango to South Korea."text-align: justify;">There was a big success in the export of mango in 2022-23. In the current season 2023, India has exported mangoes to 41 countries. APEDA also participated in the Seoul Food and Hotel Show to promote the export of Indian mangoes to celebrate the 75 years of India’s independence. Due to the efforts of APEDA, 75 varieties of mangoes could be exported to Barheen.
