6 years worth of orders delivered on the last day of 2023
Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal wrote on social media that the food delivery platform delivered a large number of orders on the last evening of 2023. This figure is equal to the orders placed on New Year's Eve in 6 years from 2015 to 2020. He wrote in his tweet that 8422 orders were placed at 8.06 pm. This figure works out to 140 orders per second. Maximum orders were placed from Maharashtra. A customer from Kolkata ordered 125 items in a single order. He wrote in another tweet that we have broken the record of orders in one day. Thank you all.
