Apart from this, he has agricultural land worth Rs 17.08 lakh. The Finance Minister has 315 grams of gold, whose value is Rs 14.49 lakh. Apart from this, he also has 5.282 kg silver worth Rs 3.98 lakh.

Investment in banks, PPF and mutual funds

On the investment front, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman's portfolio is a typical middle one. Class is same as Indian. He has Rs 35.52 lakh as deposits in various banks. He has invested about Rs 1.6 lakh in PPF. He likes to invest in mutual funds, in which the value of his investment is Rs 5.80 lakh. He has personally lent Rs 2.7 lakh. In the name of cash, he has Rs 7,350 in his hands, while in other receivables Rs 5.08 lakh are mentioned.

Loans of about Rs 27 lakh are outstanding

Surprisingly, the Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman does not have any insurance. On the liabilities front, he has home loan, overdraft etc. There is an outstanding liability of Rs 5.44 lakh in the ongoing home loan from Canara Bank. There is a liability of Rs 2.53 lakh in overdraft. The biggest liability is of a 10-year mortgage loan, of which the current outstanding is Rs 18.93 lakh. All these loans are joint loans in 50:50 ratio. In this way his total liability becomes Rs 26.91 lakh.
