EPFO Higher pension: 8,897 people applied to get more pension, know how you can avail

EPFO: So far 8897 people have applied for the higher pension of the Employees Pension Scheme under the Employees Provident Fund Organization. Giving information on Saturday, EPFO ​​said that from February 27, online application for pension contribution on higher salary under EPS-95 scheme has been made. 

Apart from this, 91,258 online applications have been received from retired EPS members. These are such retired employees,  Who were not considered for higher pension before 1st September, 2014. The last date for such employees has expired.  The application for these retired employees has been closed on March 4.

How to apply through a simple process 

  • To avail the benefit of higher pension, you must first visit https://unifiedportal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberInterfacePohw/member.
  • Here you will see the Pension on Higher Salary tab. Click on it.
  • Now you will see a new option Joint Application Form.
  • Then fill all the information asked and click on OTP button.
  • Now OTP will come on your phone on the number linked to Aadhaar, enter it. 

Explain that under EPFO, employees and employers contribute 12-12 percent of the salary. Of the 12 per cent, 3.67 per cent goes to the employer’s EPF and 8.33 per cent to the EPS.
