DA Hike: After Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan, now employees of this state also got the gift of Holi

Holi Gift: As the Lok Sabha elections are approaching, governments are making announcements one after the other to woo people. Earlier on Thursday, Rajasthan increased the Dearness Allowance for state employees and pensioners. After this, on Friday, Madhya Pradesh also announced 4 percent increase in DA. Neighboring state Chhattisgarh also joined this episode. The government of this state has also increased the DA of government employees by 4 percent. Due to this decision, approximately 3.90 lakh employees and 1.20 lakh pensioners will benefit. 

Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai gave information 

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai informed about the government's decision on Friday night. This is the government's Holi gift to the employees and pensioners of Chhattisgarh. He said that DA of employees and dearness relief for pensioners have also been increased. This decision will be considered effective from March 1. After this increase, DA in the state has become 46 percent of the basic salary. This decision will put a burden of Rs 816 crore on the state exchequer. During the press conference, Vishnu Dev Sai said that a 5-member committee has also been formed to hear the problems of contract workers and other employees. 

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav had announced 

Earlier, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav had announced to increase DA. He had said that a notification in this regard has been issued on Friday. The increased DA will be considered effective from March 1, 2024. The government will pay it in April 2024. About 7.5 lakh government employees will benefit from this decision of the government.

DA was also increased in Rajasthan 

Earlier, it was announced to increase DA in BJP ruled Rajasthan also. State Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma had said on Thursday that the DA of the state employees has been increased by 4 percent. After this, DA of state employees will now be 50 percent. This decision will benefit 8 lakh state employees and 4.40 lakh pensioners. 

Lok Sabha elections may be announced today

Election Commission's press conference to announce the dates of Lok Sabha elections is going to be held on Saturday. After this, the election code of conduct can be implemented in the country. In the country Lok Sabha elections can be held between April and May.
